Ulli and a porcupine

Ulli went for a nice run on the Great Western trail. The sky was beautiful, it was a nice warm fall day. The colors were brilliant.
There was a porcupine sharing the trail with us.

Memories from Winter

We went down to the Tushars for a spring skiing yurt trip. Damn if it didn't snow. All three days there was creamy spring powder.

First Snow

First snow seen from the back yard.

Earlier this summer, we tried to hike down to the Colorado river from the north rim of the Grand Canyon. We set a turn arround time of 2pm, by which time we were a mile from the river. Stick to your turn arround time, since a night time exit accross the steep slopes near the rim itself would not be fun in the dark!
