wooden pipe

This pipe caried irrigation water accross the freemont river west of torrey. It's been replaced by a steel pipe. I wonder if this is the sort of pipe that is still roumoured to be buried in Manhattan's water system.

Hummingbird wars

We spent the weekend watching the conflict from our back yard.

What I want to know, is who started it?

Well, we were intending to ski Agassiz, but the snow has melted out.

Feverfew

This herb grows in our garden. It's prolific and blooms all summer. Folks use it to treat migranes, but we just like the flowers. Posted by Picasa

Our route on the middle teton

These guys in this photo are climbing the Grand Teton to ski it. From the summit, there is a great view of the route that CJ and I climbed with Mark Newcomb and Mot Gatehouse. Our climbing route is in red, and our ski decent is in blue. Posted by Picasa

My first votes on a Diebold voting machine

I voted on a dieblod machine today at the state Democratic Party convention. You can see that I voted for Walt Whitman, at least I think that I voted for Walt Whitman, but if a recount is held, they don't look at the boxes with X's in them, they look at the bar code that you see below. You see, there is a paper balot cast, but it is ONLY used in a recount, and then it's the BARCODE that is recounted. By a machine.
